The standout spec: total reach, not just cable length
Cable length is quoted everywhere and total reach is quoted almost nowhere, which is odd, because reach is what determines whether the install works. A charger sits where the electrician can reasonably get power to it. The car parks where the driveway lets it. The distance between those two facts is the problem the cable has to solve, and it includes the run from the wall box down and around whatever is in the way — a door frame, a parked bike, a step.

Charging speed, worked out
Forty-eight amps at 240 volts is about 11.5 kW. At our standard reference of roughly 3.5 miles of range per kWh, that is about 40 miles of range per hour— roughly 400 miles across a ten-hour overnight window. For essentially every driver that is a full charge every night with hours unused.
This is also where we get to be blunt about what you are and are not paying for. Every 48-amp charger in this category delivers the same roughly 40 miles per hour, because amperage times voltage is the whole calculation. The EVIQO is not faster than the Wallbox Pulsar Plus and it is not slower than the Emporia Level 2. What separates them is enclosure, app quality, physical size, load-balancing features and brand support — and the price you pay for those. The install and the certifications
The version we cover is hardwired, which means an electrician terminates it into a dedicated 240V circuit. Under NEC Article 625, EV charging is a continuous load, so that circuit is sized to 125% of the charger’s draw: 48 × 1.25 = 60, so a 60-amp breaker. We would rather name this plainly than bury it in a pros-and-cons list. The EVIQO hardware is well specified and independently certified. The uncertainty is what happens in year four: whether the app is still maintained, whether a warranty claim finds someone to answer it, whether replacement parts exist. ChargePoint and Wallbox have long histories to point at. A smaller brand does not, and a charger is a long-lived appliance you cannot easily swap.
That risk is worth taking for some buyers and not others. If the price gap is material to you and the reach solves a real problem in your driveway, take it — the certifications mean the safety question is settled, and the three-year warranty is competitive.
